Amr Khalid's Lecture on How to prepare for Ramadan

1) You and Prayer

Ø Fardh (obligatory prayers): -done on time and in jama'a (group of people)

2) You and the Quran

Ø Each letter counts as 700 deeds=about 4 900 000 good deeds per chapter

Ø If you read 3-4 pages after each prayer, insha'Allah you will complete it in one month

Ø Read with feeling (try to understand the words, and apply them to your daily life)

3) You and Charity

Ø Set aside a certain amount of $ you want to give (ex. $1/day instead of coffee you usually bought), put in mosque or donate to feed a fasting person=$30/month)

Ø Visiting sick and elderly/asking about the sick ones/helping in mosque during iftar time

Ø Hadith: Even a smile is charity

4) You and Taraweeh

Ø One of most beautiful aspects of Ramadan, amazing experience, fit it into your schedule as if it were an important appointment that you cannot miss.

5) Keeping in Touch with Relatives

Ø Make sure that before Ramadan starts, there are no hard feelings toward relatives, be the first to call and reconcile, or just call to say Ramadan mubarak

6) You and Calling people to Islam

Ø Hadith: If Allah guides a person through your help, you have earned rewards which are better than this whole world and all that is in it.

Ø Encourage friends to come to halaquas (Islamic gatherings), read Qur’an together, share ahadith with them, encourage them to listen to Islamic lectures

Ø Give gifts to themàHadith: Give gifts to one another, and you will love each other.

7) You and Good Companions

Ø We all need a support system, and need to feel encouraged and motivated, find friends who will remind you of Allah (swt) especially during this blessed month

Ø Hadith: A man is on the faith of his close companion.

8) You and Duaa (Supplication)

Ø Focus on 5-6 duaas (or pick as many as you want), and insist on them and continue to make duaa for these things during each prayer, and every time before you break your fast

i have come to a decision about such things.
i shall stop whatever nonsense.
the incident in the bus made me realize how pain it is to be laugh at.
the lady was dressed in pants and old top, and her headgear showed me
that she's a religious person. she used the veil to cover her face.
ok, not literally her face, but the usual veil with the headgear itself.
she wore sunglasses and sat at the back of the bus.
suhada and i saw and she started laughing non-stop.
after we stop, and i sat beside her as there were no one was sitting.
she drop right before interchange. looking at her going down the bus
made me so bad about laughing at her.

dangggggggg! im done with homeworks. alhamdullilah.

a proper update! haha. i've been very busy with life.
always reaching home around mid night. i had school just now and yesterday.
it was hard for me to wake up in the morning now.
i need to get use to it before school re-opens! hah.
was over at my grandparent's place last thursday, and got home saturday afternoon.
Sunday, went over to aunty's place at lor mydin. she just shifted.
i got tired and sleepy about 4pm. HEH. i couldn't stop eating!
once im with granny, i CANNOT stop eating :D and while finding some stuffs
in the boxes, i FOUND THIS PICTURE! haha. my dad use to frame this picture at home.
but its now in the store room. granny too keep this picture. HAH. so cute!

it was really really really enjoyable. farah, radin and i went there at ard 11 plus on sat. sat there
without any aim whtsoever. walked ard, helped F&B, faccis and the mentor. had fun just watching how t
he sec4s were not able to control the crowd and making a blunder out of everythg. HAHAH. pitied the children. everytime they wanna start an activity, it will start ti rain for eg: the night treasure hunt, it had to be stopped
halfway cos there was lightning alert. 2nd day they wanted to have field cooking and it started to rain then they were gng to have their performance and agn, it started to rain.

they practically stayed in their tents most of the time. but they are really really well fed. each time they
complain they are hungry, F&B will go ard delivering food. DELIVER okay! such a good life. dah tk mcm camp sey!
aft that we went back to perdaus and lepak-ed for a while then went back in a cab with ustazah. HEH. a ride home (: but farah more best laa..ustaz send her home in his car can! LOL.

i purposely took this post and post it here is because i can't accept the fact that you said the sec 4s weren't able to control the kids. FIRST THINGS FIRST, CAN YOU EVEN HANDLE?! for about hundred over kids.
let me tell you something, we were ready for all this. and we were hundred percent ready that the kids will be rowdy. will be playful. THEY'RE KIDS! not adults! so why are you making a big fuss about it?!
it is HARD to take care of kids. they're very playful.
